LSU Football Preview of Home-Opener in Death Valley vs. Grambling, LSU Soccer Recap & NILSU

LSU Football will host Grambling in Tiger Stadium for their 2023 home opener on Saturday. After losing to the Florida State Seminoles in Week 1, Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers are looking to even out their record. Brian Kelly told the media in his press conference on Thursday, that the Tigers look and feel more prepared for this week's game. LSU Football needs a big win to regain their confidence, so look for Jayden Daniels, Malik Nabers, Brian Thomas Jr., Kyren Lacey, Tre Bradford, Harold Perkins Jr., Maason Smith and Greg Penn Jr. to execute. Don't be surprised to see some younger guys like Javeon Taviano, Kaleb Jackson and Garrett Nussmeier to get some playing time too.  NILSU is being repped all over the country with former and current LSU Tigers receiving big pay days. Joe Burrow just received a HUGE contract extension with a 5 year, $275 MM deal, making him the highest-paid player in NFL history. Paul Skenes and Dylan Crews drew the highest signing bonuses in MLB history. And LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne and LSU Women's basketball player Angel Reese are the highest paid female athletes in college sports.  LSU Soccer played Pepperdime on Thursday night and tied 2-2. Coach Sian Hudson said the team got off to a very slow start; But with a 2-hour rain delay, the LSU Tigers were able to catch up and tie the score. The team will host Northwestern State on Sunday before heading to Ole Miss to begin SEC play next week.
