We see the betrayal of Judas, the Last Supper where Jesus establishes a new covenant, and His deep anguish as He prays in the Garden of Gethsemane. We also witness Peter’s denial and the beginning of Jesus’ suffering at the hands of those who rejected Him. Through it all, we see both the weakness of humanity and the unshakable faithfulness of Christ. This chapter reminds us of the cost of redemption and the depth of Jesus’ love for us.
