La comedia-ballet es un drama, musical y coreográfico creado por Molière, donde música y danza se mezclan para recrear historias fundamentadas en sucesos contemporáneos a través de personajes comunes de la vida cotidiana. Así, nace la gran relación teatral y musical entre Lully y Molière, una de las más vigorosas de todos los tiempos, asociación que comenzó en 1661 y duró algo más de una década. A este género pertenece la obra El burgués gentilhombre, escrita Molière y acompañada por la música de Jean-Baptiste Lully, que se estrenó en París en 1670. Hoy escucharemos de esta obra, producto de la dupla Lully-Moliere y recordando el fallecimiento de Lully un 22 de marzo de 1687, la Marcha para la ceremonia de los Turcos de manos de Le Concert des Nations dirigidos por Jordi Savall.
