Dr. Rodney and Karen talk about a somewhat neglected body system - the lymphatic system. It does not have its own pumping system like the circulatory system.

Basically, the lymphatic system removes toxins and waste products from the body.  Another vital role is to remove surplus fluid that drains from cells and tissues throughout the body and sends it to the circulation.

Takeaways

The structure of the lymphatic system is different from the circulatory system.
It is slow acting and does not have a pump other than the  muscles of your body to start moving the lymph liquid.
It's a filtration system that helps you choose your battles as far as fighting off the bad guys.
Lymph resembles the clear fluid (like plasma) that comes out of a wound.
It is the front line of defense for the immune system to transport what's needed to keep you healthy.

Create habits that will increase the function of your lymphatic system.
