Maddy Tyers | Margot Robbie, Liam Hemsworth, and the Audition That Changed Everything

Andrew sits down with actor, writer and producer Maddy Tyers — known for Lego Masters Australia, Neighbours and her early role alongside Margot Robbie and Liam Hemsworth in The Elephant Princess — ahead of her new comedy series The Sonny Disposition. Maddy talks candidly about a low point early in her career that led her to the Starlight Children's Foundation, where she met her husband and creative partner Jimmy, and the audition she turned down at 18 that might have sent her career down a very different path. They also dig into how she processes rejection (including a script-shredding ritual she swears by), why she and Jimmy stopped waiting for opportunities and started producing their own work through Win Win Productions, and what it was really like building The Sonny Disposition — a satirical comedy about podcasting, persona and the gap between who performers are on and off the mic.
