“Make Me Better”

How do I make me better? A question I ask myself all the time. It’s a way for me to be present within myself. I struggle with showing compassion for myself. I’m not sure I even know what it is half the time. No one has ever taught me how to be compassionate with myself. Other times I feel like I am being compassionate, because I’m doing things like meditation, working out, running, stretching and reading self help and self love books to add to it. I’m now asking myself how else can I make me better. Is it just one way? And if there’s more than one way then which ways are the best ways? Should I even be concerned with those questions? I feel like as long as I keep waking up every day and being blessed to wake up that I have a new opportunity to figure out these parts of me so that I can make me better. It’s so scary at times but there’s nothing to fear here. Yet I feel like I’m walking through wet cement. My therapist says at least I’m not stopping and being swallowed up by the cement and giving it a opportunity to harden up around me and conceal me only to bury me alive.
