Padre Pio, one of the saints who understood Christ’s suffering the most, recommended attending Mass often. And he said: "If you want to assist at Mass with devotion and with fruit, think of the sorrowful Mother at the foot of Calvary.” “In your mind’s eye, transport yourself to Calvary," he added.
