I discovered long ago that compromise means giving in to the other guy's position. How bad can that get? We had a joke about the old Soviet Union. "What's mine is mine, and what's yours is negotiable." Some people say they want to compromise with no thought of compromising. Iran: We want to kill all the Jews in Israel." Liberals: "Can't you just meet Iran halfway?" As a practicing Christian, I try to follow Christ, and in His example. Sometimes I'm told to compromise, "because that's what a Christian would do." But then I thought, did Jesus ever compromise? "There are many paths to God." Christians are supposed to agree.
