Marcy Rogers & Dr. Jake VanLandingham

from Born to Talk Radio Show · host Born to Talk Radio Show

Thank you, Marcy Rogers and Dr. Jake VanLandingham for being my guests on the Born To Talk Radio Show Podcast. Our focus is on Traumatic Brain Injuries and Concussions.   Marcy is the CEO and Founder of SpineMark and Dr. Jake VanLandingham is the Founder and President of Prevacus. Did you know? You will hear about the levels of Traumatic Brain Injuries, from the mild, known as concussions to the moderate and severe. What is a concussion:  According to Dr. Jake, a concussion is a type of traumatic brain injury, or TBI, caused by a traumatic force to the head or upper body that causes the brain to shake inside of the skull. The injury is defined as a concussion when it causes a change in mental status. As an example, amnesia, disorientation, mental fogginess, confusion, nausea or vomiting, blurred vision or loss of consciousness. Concussions in children and adults are escalating to epidemic proportions.  What can parents on behalf of their children do to protect their offspring?   At the same time, how can they simultaneously get them the best treatment should they sustain a concussion?  Whether it’s from a fall, sports-related activity, car accident, or head to head collision with someone walking down the street, what can be done? What about adults, the elderly and those engaged in military deployments, special operations or just basic training? I found this surprising, the number one sport with the highest ratio for concussion is female youth soccer. Are there any solutions? Together with Marcy and Dr. Jake’s companies, they are working to provide solutions. Listen and learn about an over the counter botanical cream that could prevent or mitigate the impact of a concussion and a breakthrough drug initiating their clinical trials that will change lives.  What about treatment prior to playing? What if you don’t play any sports, but are looking for preventative care? Enter,  PreVPRO a new, holistic, non-opioid product designed to help treat pain and TBIs, including mitigating the symptoms of concussions and limiting their duration. PreVPRO is applied prophylactically on the right and left side of the neck and is safe for use on children and adults. Final Thoughts. To summarize, the future looks hopeful. Medical trials are underway for a nasal spray. I look forward to sharing more information with you regarding their studies. Check out their websites to learn more.
