Mashaile: NPA targeting Medicare 24 /SAPS tender's “big fish”

Alleged underworld kingpin Vusumuzi "Cat" Matlala has pleaded guilty to all charges against him in the Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crimes Court. He faces serious charges of corruption, fraud, and money laundering related to a 228 million rand contract his company secured from the South African Police Service (SAPS). Matlala has also pleaded guilty on behalf of his company, Medicare 24 . Additionally, he is expected to enter into a plea and sentencing agreement with the state, which may influence the outcome of his case that involves 16 others - including senior police officers.  Matlala responded to all the charges against him. Matlala's attorney Maluleke says his client has been rehabilitated, acted of his own accord, and shown remorse.
