Matt Mcelroy - Hat-Trick World Cup Wins, Olympics, and Mindset Training

from The Pacing and Racing Podcast · host The Pacing and Racing Podcast

In today’s podcast, we meet with American Pro ITU Triathlete, Matt Mcelroy! Now Matt Mcelroy has been on fire recently with a hat-trick in World Cup victories at his last three races and has set a new standard across the board in the ITU series. His recent success has put him in a great position for the potential to toe the line at the Tokyo Olympics next summer so we discuss this and his outlook on the Olympics in today’s episode! We also discuss other avenues of triathlon post-2020 Olympics like the iconic Super League Triathlon Series and even discuss the possibilities of an IRONMAN in the future! As we just had a podcast not long ago with Cam Wurf, it was funny to hear Cam’s perspective on the Santo Domingo ITU race so now we get to hear the perspective of that race from Matt! In this episode, we also go over his racing plans and schedule, and he shares some great insight on racing to your fullest potential through mindset, training tips and so much more! I personally am a big fan of Matt and the American Triathlon team so the honor is all mine in this podcast, and I hope you guys enjoy the episode!
