Matt Whitman—The Steel Man, The Straw Man, and The Kool-Aid Man

Matt Whitman, host of the 10-Minute Bible Hour, sits down with Wade Mobley to talk about digital wisdom for the technological age. Matt shares his journey from small-town pastor to full-time "interneter" and discusses how the church can navigate a world where the truth is hard to discern, especially online. Matt and Wade engage in an impromptu game of defending/attacking differing theological positions using the concepts of the Steel Man (the most charitable version of an argument) and the Straw Man (a weak caricature). Finally, Matt uses the the character of the Kool-Aid Man from 1980's TV commercials to illustrate how we as Christians can tend to burst into a conversation with uninvited, ill-informed hot takes rather than leading with truth and love.
