The excitement of the morning may have given way to difficult conversations, unexpected changes or quiet moments of uncertainty. If your heart feels unsettled today, pause for a moment. Before Jesus asked His disciples to do anything, He first gave them something to hold on to—His presence. Across the water, in the middle of their fear, came His reassuring voice: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” Those words still bring hope to every anxious heart today. Scripture (NIV) “But Jesus immediately said to them: ‘Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.’” — Matthew 14:27 Heavenly Father, thank You that through Jesus Christ You come near to us in every season of life. When fear begins to whisper, help us to hear the gentle voice of Jesus above every anxious thought. Give us courage when the path ahead seems uncertain and peace when our hearts begin to race. Remind us that Your presence is greater than our fears and Your promises are stronger than our doubts. May the Holy Spirit steady our hearts, strengthen our faith and help us walk through this afternoon with quiet confidence, knowing that Christ is with us wherever this day may lead. Thank You that we never face life’s storms alone because our Saviour faithfully walks beside us. Fear will not win, because Jesus is with us, His presence brings courage and His perfect love drives out fear. May the Lord Jesus fill your heart with courage today, quiet every anxious thought and remind you that His faithful presence will never leave your side.
