Matthew 6:11-15 - Teach Us to Pray - Dependence (Lord's Prayer)
from Treasuring Christ Church - Sermons · host Michael Guyer
Prayer is foundational to the Christian life and, yet, many Christians struggle to live prayerful lives. The good news is that we are not left to ourselves to grow in this area of our faith. In fact, Jesus’ disciples once asked, “Lord, teach us to pray.” (Luke 11:2) Over the next six weeks, leading up to Easter, we will look at how Jesus taught us to pray in the Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6) and learn from Jesus’ High Priestly Prayer (John 17). This week, Pastor Michael looks at Matthew 6:10 and helps us to understand what it means to pray for God's kingdom to come and His will to be done. Ultimately, these two petitions are an act of submission on our part. In them, we say to God, not my kingdom come but your kingdom and not my will be done but your will be done. Join us on Sundays at 10:30am (4100 Carpenter Rd. Ypsilanti, MI. 48197). Check us out online at tccannarbor.com
