Following the success of last year’s HBO documentary Billy Joel: And So It Goes, a new biopic about Billy Joel’s early years is reportedly in development — but not with his blessing. A spokesperson for Joel says the parties involved do not have his life rights or the necessary music rights, adding that he has “not authorized or supported this project in any capacity.”
