Friends of the Rosary, Today is the feast day of St. Matthias, Apostle and Martyr. After Jesus' ascension, St. Peter proposed to the assembled faithful that they choose the twelve disciples of Christ to fill the place left vacant by Judas the traitor's apostasy. Lots were drawn, with the result in favor of Matthias, ultimately chosen by the Holy Spirit. According to the tradition, St. Matthias labored in Ethiopia.
