MD40: Back Where They Belong Part 1

Racing Santander are back where they belong in Primera division, their victory, coupled with Almeria dropping points against Las Palmas confirms their automatic promotion. Depor also have one foot in Primera, needing just 3 points from the last 2 games to secure their place.  The race for the playoffs is hotting up with dropped points for Castellon and Eibar, Burgos the big beneficiaries, whilst Malaga and Las Palmas both won to strengthen their play-off position.  Down the bottom Cultural won to delay the inevitable relegation another week and Real Zaragoza lost again to drop to bottom of the table and are as good as down. It was late heartbreak again for Mirandes and the survival target edged a little higher as Cadiz picked up a point.
