Certified house tastemaker Melé returns with ‘Soul Makossa’, the next release from his forthcoming Defected LP. The record follows his 2026 collaboration ‘So High’ with UK rapper Jords and multi-faceted producer Wonky Logic, with its hip-hop influences and live instrumental feel attracting global radio attention and love from Danny Howard, Arielle Free and Jeremiah Asiamah on BBC Radio 1 in the UK. Melé’s club sets are defined by rhythmically diverse percussion and Afro house influences; these skills come to the fore on his latest Defected release ‘Soul Makossa’.
