Met Director Urges Vigilance as Saint Lucia Enters Peak Hurricane Season

As Saint Lucia enters the most active period of the 2026 Atlantic hurricane season, the Director of Meteorological Services is urging residents to remain vigilant and prepared. While the season is forecast to be below normal, citizens are reminded that individual weather systems can still produce heavy rainfall, gusty winds, flooding, landslides and other hazards. Residents are encouraged to closely monitor official weather advisories and maintain preparedness throughout September and October.
