MFL - Bank Heists: CASH ON DEMAND and SUGAR & SPICE

This month on Movies for Life we're doing our own version of Noirvember with a couple of episodes about crime and mystery! For our episode this week, we're robbing banks and talking about two very different approaches to the bank heist film. First up for discussion is Brian's choice, the 1961 Hammer film CASH ON DEMAND. This movie has a lot of things that both of us like - Peter Cushing, great character development and exploration, a short runtime, and a single location! It's a wonderful little film that we hope more people will check out. Then we get into Michele's pick, the 2001 dark comedy teen film SUGAR & SPICE! It's a PG-13 movie that still feels like an R movie with the witty and raunchy dialogue. And while it is a hell of a lot of fun to watch and laugh at and with, it's also one that is very clever at what it both plays into and riffs on. We hope you enjoy this pairing!
