Mfuto says 2026 elections prioritise youth voter participation

from Update@Noon · host SAfm

The Electoral Commission is pushing hard to ensure the country's youth shows up at polling stations on the 4th of November.  On Wednesday (27/05) it unveiled several innovations in respect of its communications, geared at capturing the hearts and minds of South Africa's younger generation. Its Communication Campaign launch held in Midrand, Johannesburg, saw the announcement of a youth talk show programme, podcast and revamped call centre - to add to the online registration platform.  The Electoral Management Body also used the event to urge society as a whole to defend the integrity of the country's electoral democracy.  Sakina Kamwendo spoke to political analyst Yolokazi Mfuto
