Micah 5-7

What do you do when the enemy reminds you of your failures? Micah 7 gives us the answer: "I will look to the Lord. I will wait for the God of my salvation." Not because we are worthy, but because He is.   This week we walked through the book of Micah and found a God who asks a simple question of His people: what have I not done for you? From delivering Israel out of Egypt to sending His Son from Bethlehem, God's faithfulness has never wavered. Micah 5 reminds us that the coming Messiah would be born in a small agricultural town yet would be eternal, the ruler of peace who defeats every enemy.   The closing verses of Micah say it all. God pardons iniquity, delights in mercy, and casts our sins into the depths of the sea.
