Michael Keefer Compassion: mission Sunday

from Newlife Church: Coolangatta · host Michael Keefer

Mission Sunday: Michael Keefer CompassionWelcome to the Newlife podcast! We’re so glad that you could join us. Newlife is one family with many churches located in Brisbane, Coolangatta, Moreton Bay, Robina, and online and we exist to see more people more like Jesus by planting and leading thriving local churches. For Mission Sunday we had Michael Keefer from Compassion services starts us off in our Mark series The Kings Cross 'Encounters with Jesus.' Michael Shares about the important work done in and through compassion services and the mission field we as a church community support throughout varying parts of south east Asia, and how the Gospel calls us to this mission not only overseas but in our every day life. The Gospel of Mark is a fast-paced, powerful account of Jesus’ life, focused on revealing his true identity as the Messiah and King. The book is structured in two halves: the first shows Jesus’ authority through teaching and miracles, and the second reveals his path of suffering. The turning point is Peter’s declaration that Jesus is the Messiah (Mark 8:29), followed by Jesus redefining kingship through the cross. This series, **“The King’s Cross,”** explores selected stories from Mark that show who Jesus is, what he did, and why it matters—calling believers to follow him by taking up their own cross. We pray that this message is a blessing. We’d love to hear from you!https://www.church.nu/coolangatta https://www.facebook.com/newlifecoolangatta https://www.instagram.com/newlifecoolangatta_
