Mike Spencer (Producer/Songwriter)

I always love talking to producers and Mike Spencer is one of the very best with an incredible history of superbly made records for a wide variety of artist from Gabrielle Aplin and Tom Walker to Kylie and Zara Larsson. He’s also responsible for so many of my favourite records of all time including "Heaven" by Emile Sande, "Spinning Around" by Kylie, "Salvation" by Gabrielle Aplin and the truly epic "Once" for Diana Vickers. We speak about all of these and more including how he got his first breaks as part of UK Dance act Definition Of Sound through to how he works at his incredible studio "The Larks Tongue" which is now entirely self sufficient as an energy source and home to ducks, geese and most recently otters (which we also talk about in a SAFG first!).
