The Department of Correctional Services has confirmed that high-profile attempted murder accused Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala has been transferred from Kgosi Mampuru II C-Max in Pretoria to eBongweni Super Maximum Facility in Kokstad, KwaZulu-Natal.The move, announced earlier, is described by Department of correctional services as routine operational procedure driven by security and management needs.Matlala, alleged to be involved in major state contracts and cartels, remains on remand. The department insists the transfer will not impact his legal rights or court appearances.
