Millions For Prisoner's Human Rights March On Washington As the prison population in the United States has grown well beyond that of any other nation the issue of how those prisoners are treated is coming to the forefront. America is starting to wake up to the fact that the ideals of of restoration and rehabilitation have been replaced by overcrowding, isolation, and deprivation within our prison system. The rise of for profit prisons has raised concerns about political corruption and highlighted the exception clause in the 13th Amendment to the US Constitution that designates prisoners as slaves of the state. The Millions For Prisoner's Human Rights March On Washington and many of the concerns being raised are coming from the prisoners themselves, in particular the nationwide Jail House Lawyers organization. Millions For Prisoners Human Rights Core demands for Action: A) We DEMAND the 13th amendment ENSLAVEMENT CLAUSE of the United States Constitution be amended to abolish LEGALIZED slavery in America.
