Lisinopril cough isn’t caused by a problem with your lungs, and there may be something that you can do about it. Lisinopril is an ACE inhibitor, meaning it blocks the ACE enzyme. This enzyme helps raise blood pressure and also clears away an irritating chemical that can build up in your throat.ACE inhibitors are one of the most prescribed drugs in the world. Some people develop an ACE inhibitor cough, while others don’t. This may be related to zinc, a cofactor involved with the ACE enzyme. If you’re deficient in zinc, you’re more likely to develop an irritating cough. Research has shown that zinc can help relieve Lisinopril cough. The majority of hypertension is classified as essential, which means the cause is unknown. High blood pressure has been linked to high insulin, low potassium, and low magnesium. Alternatively, focus on lowering your blood pressure naturally to reduce the need for high blood pressure medication. Always check with your doctor before making changes to your prescribed medications.
