Inhibits enzyme cAMP phosphodiesterase which results in an increased concentration of calcium inside the cardiac cell and results in better diastolic function and myocardial contractility. Indication: Cardiogenic shock, Heart failure Contraindication: Valvular heart disease. Side effects: Cardiac arrhythmias, N/V, Hypotension Dosing: Adult: 50 Mcg/kg IV/IO over 10 mins Pedi:SAA
