Minäkin olen matkailualalla : Internationalisation is the spice of tourism

The tourism and hospitality industry is a very international business and that is why studies completed abroad often contribute to career advancement. In this podcast, we meet Teemu Ahola, Visit Finland's Director of International Marketing. Teemu’s career has taken him through Turku University of Applied Sciences, first to Asia and then to postgraduate studies in England before working in the tourism industry.  Teemu's message is clear: tourism is an international and interesting career choice, which he warmly recommends for its people-oriented nature. Teemu is hosted by Susanna Saari, Senior lecturer at Turku University of Applied Sciences. I am in tourism industry too is a podcast series on career opportunities and current phenomena in the tourism industry. The producer of the podcast series, Turku Tourism Academy, is a cooperation network established in 2004 between the universities of science and applied sciences teaching and/or researching tourism in Turku, Pori and Åland, whose members are the University of Turku, Åbo Akademi University, Turku University of Applied Sciences, Novia University of Applied Sciences, Satakunta University of Applied Sciences, and Åland University of Applied Sciences. The plan for the podcast series has been prepared by a working group consisting of Turku Tourism Academy members, whose members have also acted as interviewers in the podcast series.
