Mind Over Muscle: Strengthening Mental Health on Your Fitness Journey (Ep 29)

from Coaching Corner

In this episode of the Coaching Corner podcast, I discuss the importance of focusing on your mental health while working towards your fitness goals. Many people struggle to stay consistent and prioritize their health due to low self-esteem and limiting beliefs. To stay consistent and make gains, it's important to examine the beliefs that you carry. In this episode, I talk about how having low self-worth contributes to the most common struggles that I see in clients as a personal trainer. I also give some tips for how you can work on changing your beliefs and improve your self-esteem through cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, and shadow work. We'll dive deeper into these and other strategies in future podcast episodes.Links:Watch on YoutubeShow NotesLivestreams on TwitchRelated Product LinkMentioned in this episode:Fitness Journal Ad SpotIf you want to make progress in your fitness, one of the most important things that you can do is track your progress! Tracking your workouts, body weight, and body measurements will allow you to see your progress over time and know whether or not your workout plan is working for you. I've created some workout journals that are now available on Amazon to order. I actually use these journals for my own workouts! My favorite one is actually the blue cover with white flowers :) These journals will allow you to write down what your workouts are, take your measurements, reflect on your progress, reflect on your goals, and set new goals. Explicit What I Love About Sex Stephanie Ganowski Stephanie Ganowski is a clinical sexologist and sex coach for men. In her podcast, “What I Love About Sex”, her mission is to take the pressure out of sex and put the pleasure in! She does this by helping men overcome their d*ck-related issues and improve their sex communication skills, so they can feel in control of their bodies and connecting deeply with their partners. Coaching clients 1:1 for 6+ years, with a background in psychology, relationship communication training and clinical sexology makes Stephanie the person you can trust to help you. She especially wants men to have a ‘go-to’ place for help here, so they feel they’re directly spoken to and supported. Stephanie is a firm believer that sex is like any other part of life in that we need to work to understand and improve it through practice, vulnerability and patience. And if we can do that while having fun and not taking ourselves so seriously, we can create the sex life we’ve always dreamed of.<br Explicit
