She is not too keen on her mother, Susan Maine's (Shelley Hack) new husband. Something about him seems off. Could it be that he rambles to himself in the basement? His domineering presence? Or the fact that he may be a murderer? Oh well, it's nothing a gift of a puppy wouldn't fix.
