Our guest this episode is Patti-Jean Roberts, teacher of students with visual impairment and orientation and mobility specialist from the Department of Education. This episode Patti-Jean provides insight on how persons should interact, communicate, and assist individuals with visual impairment. Ms. Patti talks about the importance of not being condescending, remembering that people who are visually impaired are the same as anyone else, being considerate of how and when you give assistance, and overall etiquette of how we should interact with members of our community who are visually impaired or blind.
