Mindfulness for Kids, Community and Planet

with Liz Rutledge

Mindfulness isn't just for adults anymore! Children experience their fair share of stress and anxiety too. It makes complete sense that kids could/should learn how create a mindful practice of their own. Today's guest, Liz Rutledge has spent years teaching mindfulness to school age kids and shares the benefits she has seen it have. It's not just a concept, mindfulness is becoming more and more about self, family, community, and ultimately the mindful sustainability of our planet. Today we talk about:

  • mindlessness vs mindfulness
  • what age are kids most receptive to learning mindfulness
  • how mindful daily choices can have an impact for everyone
  • the ripple effects mindfulness can create

Liz has been practicing mindfulness for many years and in the last ten years has been teaching mindfulness to students in Denver area schools. She is currently earning her Mindful School certification and is also a blogger, passionate about environment, and founder of SustainableThree.
