Minister MacAulay announces investment to support the health and safety of Canadian farmers ahead of Canadian Agricultural Safety Week

The podcast episode of BC Food News, hosted by Jennifer English, discusses a significant announcement by Minister Lawrence MacAulay for enhancing the health and safety of Canadian farmers. Minister MacAulay announced an investment of over $1.6 million for the Canadian Agricultural Safety Association (CASA) to improve farm safety and reduce injury risks. The funding targets several initiatives such as leadership, training programs, awareness campaigns, and on-farm resources to help farmers and their families adopt safer practices. It also has a focus on the safety education of children and youth involved in agriculture. The funding includes support for mental health initiatives that address the unique stresses associated with farm life. The episode also touches on the Canadian Agricultural Safety Week, various programs under CASA, and some facts related to agriculture-related fatalities in Canada. The funding is through the AgriCompetitiveness Program, part of the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership. https://c212.net/c/link/?t=0&l=en&o=4383139-1&h=1365080245&u=https%3A%2F%2Fagriculture.canada.ca%2Fen%2Fprograms%2Fagricompetitiveness&a=AgriCompetitiveness+Program https://c212.net/c/link/?t=0&l=en&o=4383139-1&h=408996476&u=https%3A%2F%2Fcasa-acsa.ca%2Fen%2Fcanadian-agricultural-safety-association%2F&a=Canadian+Agricultural+Safety+Association https://c212.net/c/link/?t=0&l=en&o=4383139-1&h=1203064893&u=https%3A%2F%2Fcan01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com%2F%3Furl%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fwww.facebook.com%252FCanadianAgriculture%26data%3D05%257C02%257Cmichael.kay%2540AGR.GC.CA%257C18b0dd0280ae4f5bb62c08dd5d798efe%257C9da98bb118574cc387519a49e35d24cd%257C0%257C0%257C638769499340184405%257CUnknown%257CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%253D%253D%257C0%257C%257C%257C%26sdata%3Dn%252FFA%252BDO%252Fkd5TK4xhzFOrD7x1JautoY8uu2JJyOak%252Flk%253D%26reserved%3D0&a=Facebook https://c212.net/c/link/?t=0&l=en&o=4383139-1&h=3872546246&u=https%3A%2F%2Fcan01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com%2F%3Furl%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fx.com%252FAAFC_Canada%26data%3D05%257C02%257Cmichael.kay%2540AGR.GC.CA%257C18b0dd0280ae4f5bb62c08dd5d798efe%257C9da98bb118574cc387519a49e35d24cd%257C0%257C0%257C638769499340198796%257CUnknown%257CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%253D%253D%257C0%257C%257C%257C%26sdata%3DWFHMILpRiBssZhMZ13SkIHAeK04h1FvbAA17P9pNNTo%253D%26reserved%3D0&a=X%2C POST data https://c212.net/c/link/?t=0&l=en&o=4383139-1&h=3834101158&u=https%3A%2F%2Fcan01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com%2F%3Furl%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fwww.youtube.com%252Fuser%252FAgricultureCanadaEng%26data%3D05%257C02%257Cmichael.kay%2540AGR.GC.CA%257C18b0dd0280ae4f5bb62c08dd5d798efe%257C9da98bb118574cc387519a49e35d24cd%257C0%257C0%257C638769499340212443%257CUnknown%257CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%253D%253D%257C0%257C%257C%257C%26sdata%3DwZs1eHYAgSv6XKJkztys%252BS61x7o4RBNJ3KDnmMKuRTE%253D%26reserved%3D0&a=YouTube https://c212.net/c/link/?t=0&l=en&o=4383139-1&h=2045114053&u=https%3A%2F%2Fcan01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com%2F%3Furl%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Finstagram.com%252Fcdn_agriculture%26data%3D05%257C02%257Cmichael.kay%2540AGR.GC.CA%257C18b0dd0280ae4f5bb62c08dd5d798efe%257C9da98bb118574cc387519a49e35d24cd%257C0%257C0%257C638769499340225983%257CUnknown%257CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%253D%253D%257C0%257C%257C%257C%26sdata%3DnKqWEKR4Tx133QPlvJlpyFUCu0BBftiIql%252B3ZGP3c48%253D%26reserved%3D0&a=Instagram https://c212.net/c/link/?t=0&l=en&o=4383139-1&h=3758095224&u=https%3A%2F%2Fcan01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com%2F%3Furl%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fwww.linkedin.com%252Fcompany%252F1574%252Fadmin%252F%26data%3D05%257C02%257Cmichael.kay%2540AGR.GC.CA%257C18b0dd0280ae4f5bb62c08dd5d798efe%257C9da98bb118574cc387519a49e35d24cd%257C0%257C0%257C638769499340240078%257CUnknown%257CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%253D%253D%257C0%257C%257C%257C%26sdata%3Dqr6EytZoDfs2ZUrYZaSmp2bo%252B0Uv7LxJ%252BnDEBga1Df4%253D%26reserved%3D0&a=LinkedIn [email protected] [email protected] https://c212.net/c/link/?t=0&l=en&o=4383139-1&h=1032119049&u=https%3A%2F%2Fcan01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com%2F%3Furl%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fagriculture.canada.ca%252Fen%26data%3D05%257C02%257Cmichael.kay%2540AGR.GC.CA%257C18b0dd0280ae4f5bb62c08dd5d798efe%257C9da98bb118574cc387519a49e35d24cd%257C0%257C0%257C638769499340254111%257CUnknown%257CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%253D%253D%257C0%257C%257C%257C%26sdata%3Do6z1bmlvwv05oLoE6kj8HpdvOTPnnnST7KaFBPnHoCs%253D%26reserved%3D0&a=Agriculture+and+Agri-Food+Canada
