Miracle at the border

Barb and Jim met at 11 and 12 and are still together today, thanks to a series of miracles that helped save Jim’s life. On June 7, 2015 just across the border in Point Roberts, Washington, Jim fell from his bicycle, suffered 6 cardiac arrests and one heart attack that should have taken him from this earth. Instead, a chain of friends, doctors, nurses, social media and his beloved family, kept him anchored to life. Together, they travelled a journey from trauma to triumph sharing raw details of emotional turmoil combined with scientific fact in their book, Miracle at the Border, published in 2016. The power of loving energy combined with Jim’s innate grit brought him from the brink of death and beyond, to living a rich life of gratitude and awe.
