It's a social sound Sunday. Today we have Miss Grady.(music intro)Miss Grady: Everybody's crazy! People are up and running around and mighty social while the Lord is doing his work. Looks like the people would get somewhere and sit down.(audience claps)DJ Flip: Hello Miss Grady! You're at a lobby party, and the people came to see you.Miss Grady: Flip! You told me t come down here because I was gonna be on the radio. You set me up!DJ Flip: Now, Miss Grady, you're on the air right now. Miss Grady: I'm on the air.....Well shut my mouth!(Audience laughs)DJ Flip: How old are you Miss Grady?Miss Grady: I'm 83 yrs. old.DJ Flip: You've been here a long time, Miss Grady.Miss Grady: Because I honored my mother and father, and I never curse the name of God. I respected my elders, and I don't drink, and I don't smoke.DJ Flip: So you're a Christian?Miss Grady: That's right. I serve the one and only mighty God. I just wish my husband would have served him. He served a God made of stone. It was stone maybe because it was so ugly.(Audience Laughter)It would just sit there in Indian style...wouldn't talk, wouldn't move, wouldn't blink an eye. And my husband didn't recognize that. Poor critter! He was the one doing all the talking and moving around. He couldn't see that he was doing all the work and that his god of stone was just dead.(Audience laughter).No, I'm serious ladies and gentlemen. He kept that thing in the bedroom with us. It gave me nightmares. Big old ball head. Big old pop belly. And my husband was starting to look just like him.(Audience laughter)The sad thing about it is he died searching, and his dreams never came true. All his prayers were just vain. Thats what happens when you serve things. The Lord said in Exodus 20 verse 3 "Thou shalt have no other gods before me."The Lord has blessed me ladies and gentlemen for serving him. He gave me long life. He's the right God to serve.(People Applaud)DJ Flip: Amen Miss Grady! Amen!DJ Flip
