Missing Home

Guest Host, Steve Adams of Lynchburg, VA  In 2019, I found myself at a café atop a mountain overlookingPhewa(Phee-wa) Lake in Pokhara Nepal. We were having breakfast andwaiting for the Sun to peak over the Himalayan mountains as themorning mist rolled across the valley below. The assembled groupincluded a local with whom I still communicate with frequently and themoment in time is etched into my memory.At some point during the breakfast, I began feeling profoundly sad andreached over to get my hot tea. I excused myself and wandered over tothe safety rail and stared off deep into the snowcapped AnnapoornaMountains. In that moment, I missed my family and wondered whatthey were doing or if they were wondering what I might be up to half aworld away.
