"Mission is our Mandate" (John 20:19-22) — Jeremiah Modino

This fall we're revisiting our cultural values as a church; "Christ is our Core," "Mission is our Mandate," "Family is our Foundation," "People are our Priority," and "Generosity is our Gift." Our cultural values are the lived-out expression of Christ in us as followers of Jesus. In this sermon, Pastor Jeremiah unpacks what our second cultural value is all about. Mission is our Mandate: We believe the church’s vocation, in any era, is to be faithful to embody the gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed. The church’s role in mission is not to be a home-base that sends out certain individuals, but as a whole, to live as sent missionaries.
