Mississippi lawmakers send sweeping youth court reform to governor

Lawmakers in Mississippi have approved a sweeping youth court reform and sent the proposal to Gov. Tate Reeves. The work was done during a special session called by the governor earlier this week. The bills that passed serve to install full-time judges to oversee youth court cases, create new juvenile correctional facilities, and invest in intervention services.
