Mix & Mingle: Navigating the Singles Scene with Style

from This Is It, I’m Just Me · host Lana Poulson

Last night, I attended a singles mixer that promised to be a space for all genders and sexualities. It was an open, welcoming environment, buzzing with people from various walks of life, all exploring connections in their own way. Yet once again, I found myself as the only trans woman in the room. It’s a familiar experience, one that brings its own unique blend of emotions—an awareness of both visibility and invisibility, standing out while wondering if I truly fit in. I made some great connections and met new people, each with their own unique stories and experiences. The conversations flowed, and there was a certain energy in the room, but when it came to romance or that spark of love, it wasn’t quite in the air. While it was a fun and engaging night, the deeper connection I was hoping for didn’t quite materialize. Still, it was another step forward in the journey of finding love and or friendship.Natalie’s website https://kinksandcoffee.ca/
