FKOF Premiere! Netherlands-based and notorious producer @mob-killa links up with @iant. for ‘Zebes’, the title track from their forthcoming 'Zebes' EP. The release dives headfirst into an experimental, otherworldly universe, moving through strange transmissions, ghostly atmospheres and sounds seemingly pulled from somewhere 'down below'. 'Zebes' is a hi-hat-driven earthtwister, fuelled by alienated FX, twisted delays and an relentless, penetrative subbass. Switch-ups in the kick patterns and distant voices push things further into the unknown before an ice-cold pad creeps across the stereo image ahead of the second drop. From there, minimal beats and next-level drum patterns take control, with tweaky details and flashes of old-school Distance-esque atmosphere providing enough nightmare fuel for the faint of heart.
