Le due giornate del tradizionale convegno pugliese, che si terrà il 5 e 6 ottobre e sarà incentrato su questo tema, risultano complementari: la domenica si affronteranno le regole del gioco, il lunedì la loro applicazioneL’importanza della visione nello sport, le modalità di misurazione e la gestione delle abilità visive in questo ambito, l’opportunità di un corretto allenamento visivo per migliorare le performance degli atleti: sono alcuni degli argomenti al centro dei lavori in plenaria il primo giorno del Convegno 2025 su Aggiornamenti in contattologia e ottica oftalmica, affidati a una serie di esperti, italiani e internazionali. «Si parlerà, ad esempio, di come utilizzare le lenti oftalmiche o le lenti a contatto in tali contesti, nonché, con il contributo di esponenti della classe medica, di come gestire i traumi oculari o gli atleti ipovedenti», rivela a b2eyes TODAY Giancarlo Montani (nella foto), responsabile scientifico dell’evento di Monopoli, giunto alla diciassettesima edizione.Nella giornata successiva, invece, sempre in plenaria, verranno presentati i modelli di utilizzo di queste tematiche per alcune delle principali discipline, con un relatore per ciascuna di esse. «Per questioni di tempo non era possibile prendere in considerazione tutti gli sport - dice ancora Montani - Abbiamo perciò individuato non solo quelli più seguiti o praticati dagli italiani, ma anche e soprattutto quelli sui quali l'impatto della visione è rilevante e che, di conseguenza, necessitano di maggiori attenzioni e pratiche per quanto riguarda la gestione o la correzione della visione stessa».Angelo Magri
