In this week's episode, Shannon and Peter share the Moonlight Magic dates for the rest of 2025 and 2026, information from Destination D23, a final closing date for DINOSAUR, and more! Disney Vacation Club has announced three additional Moonlight Magic events in 2025, as well as the slate of events for the next year. First up, three new 2025 Moonlight Magic dates were added at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  These dates are Wednesday, October 29th, Tuesday, November 18th, and Monday, December 15th.  Registration for these dates will be available starting on October 2nd at 11 AM for guests with resort reservations, and October 11th for members without reservations. The 2026 slate includes 10 total events. The dates are as follows: Winter Tuesday, January 20: Disney's Animal Kingdom Thursday, February 12: EPCOT Monday, February 23: Disney California Adventure Spring Wednesday, April 22: Disney's Hollywood Studios Thursday, June 25: Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park Summer Monday, July 20: Disney's Hollywood Studios Tuesday, August 4: Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park Thursday, August 20: Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park Thursday, September 10: EPCOT For the Winter dates, resort guest registration is scheduled to open December 16th, with general registration following on the 19th.  Resort guest registration for the Spring dates is on February 26th and general registration opens on March 5th. For Summer dates, resort guest registration begins on June 4th and general registration will open on June 11th. Eligible Members can register for one event per season. Source: Disney Vacation Club website Announcements from Destination D23 event in August In August, Disney held their Destination D23 event in Florida, but new parks and resorts information was minimal.  Among the announcements are the following: A Walt Disney Audio Animatronic is planned to be added to the Carousel of Progress in an opening scene for the attraction. There will also be some sort of updates to the attraction, but no further details have been given. Cinderella Castle is going to be repainted with “greys, creams, blue and a touch of gold” going back to its more traditional material.  Some samples of the Imagineering for Villains Land was shown providing the inspiration for the architecture of the land.  No attractions or other specific information was shared. TRON: ARES overlay planned for Tron Lightcycle run from September 15th forward using new red colors and a Nine Inch Nails soundtrack.  Source: Disney Parks Blog Closing Date for DINOSAUR   Dinoland U.S.A. has been gradually closing for the replacement with a themed land around Tropical Americas. The Boneyard play area closed recently on September 2nd. Walt Disney World has announced that the last day of operation for DINOSAUR and Restaurantasaurus is scheduled for February 1st, 2026.  Meet and Greets with Donald and Chip and Dale are planned to move to other locations at that time.  In addition, Disney has announced changes planned for the Harambe Marketplace with the many menu options from Restaurantasaurus moving to that location in Africa. Harambe Marketplace will close for the refurbishment in December and is expected to reopen around the beginning of February Finally, the Kali River Rapids annual refurbishment will be completed earlier than usual, with a closure beginning October 6th with an expected reopening in December.  Source:  Disney Tourist Blog, Walt Disney World website WDW Annual Pass Gift Card Rebate end date revealed Walt Disney World is currently offering a gift card rebate for all Annual Pass purchases. As a reminder, the Sorcerer Pass purchase earns a $75 Gift Card for each AP purchased by eligible Disney Vacation Club members. Other passes offer discounts from $25 to $100.
