Moonlit Winter (2019)

from Celluloid Pudding · host The Celluloid Pudding Podcast

Hello and welcome to our holiday episode of Celluloid Pudding. Wherever you are on the globe and however you celebrate this time of year, we wish you love, our heartfelt thanks, and good wishes. This time we--your co-hosts Beth and Sam--decided to discuss a beautiful Korean film called Moonlit Winter. The setting is chilly and wintry, but the heart and soul of the film is warm, complex, generational and lovely. This film is truly poetry in motion. We hope you will come along for the ride and also think about renting the film after our discussion. We do have some bonus content that is a little out there. Waaaay out there, concerning the phenomena hovering over New Jersey and elsewhere. We lead with the so-called orbs, but then get down to business with our snow treasure, Moonlit Winter. A very heartfelt Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays and Winter Season to all of you from both of us. You mean the world to us.

Watch If You Dare Watch If You Dare Watch If You Dare is a podcast exploring horror cinema through the eyes of a coward and the eyes of a longtime fan. Each episode, Aaron (a horror movie monster boy) and his longtime friend Derek (a lover of the dark and macabre, but a spooky celluloid coward) watch a new movie and then attempt to put their bony fingers on why jumpscares, supernatural entities, and other phobias get under our skin. Whether you’re a hardened horror expert, a casual in a love-hate relationship with scary cinema, or just a victim of a dare, join Derek, Aaron, and the occasional guest or two and face your fears. Find new episodes of Watch If You Dare on iTunes, Stitcher, and Google Play. Please subscribe, rate and review, and share. We are on Facebook and Twitter @WatchIfYouDare Explicit CELLULOID CEMETERY Mark Bessenger Join your host, filmmaker Mark Bessenger (BITE MARKS, NINJA ZOMBIE), and his guests as they delve into the exploitative, overlooked and under-appreciated side of cinema! Each week, Mark picks a film his guests haven't seen, then they watch and discuss it! Will they like it, love it or hate it? Listen and find out! Theme by Rossano Galante. Artwork by JT Seaton. The dark corners drowned out in a cacophony of naysayers and ironic laughter. Hidden in these forgotten realms are a group of cinematic pariah that deserve a better fate. They deserve to be salvaged from the pit of lazy punchlines and viewed as joyous expressions of artistic integrity and passion. We here at Brain Melt HQ will guide you, potentially kicking and screaming, into the hypnagogic void as we explore the beauty in the outsider artistry of movie madness. We hope you enjoy the ride!
