More than Models: How Sisterhood was Born in the SI Swim Search (ft. Hopefuls Mandy, Summer, &Kellie)

SUPRISE!! -- That's a bit sarcastic. If you've been following me at all on my personal Instagram account @kellierenehall, this episode is actually NOT a surprise. I've been competing in the Sports Illustrated (SI) Swim Search since August 3rd, 2020 with the hope of catching the eye of the SI staff. I came into this search with the goal of spreading my platform, inspiring women, but I had NO IDEA that this process would cultivate both a sisterhood and community of people who are looking to do the same. In this episode, I'm sitting down with two other Sports Illustrated hopefuls who I instantly connected with at the beginning of this journey: Summer + Mandy. We came into this search with such different motivations + reasons, yet we've supported each other + developed such a strong bond which we could have never anticipated. Tune in to hear WHY we decided to do the Swim Search, what it means to us, what drives us, + what has kept us going in the months since it began. At ECU, she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, D1 Co-ed and All- Girl Cheerleader, member of the PRSSA, Honor Roll and Deans List. Currently living in Baltimore, MD she is a 5th year Ravens Cheerleader, who has been honored to represent the team on two military tours overseas to the Middle East and Europe. Summer currently works as a Physician Account Executive in Medical Lab Sales. She is a big advocate in self help, self empowerment and being a role model to those chasing after their most lavish dreams.Mandy Martinez is a 28 year old registered nurse and holistic health and fitness coach.  She is a huge advocate of empowerment and embodiment, specifically for women.  Mandy travels the world and works remotely while simultaneously pursuing her passions of modeling and dance. As a tenacious leader, Mandy seeks to empower, create, inspire and spread love to all walks of life that she graciously comes into contact with all around the world.
