2019 verletzt sich Moritz Brückner beim Surfen in Chile so schwer, dass er danach querschnittsgelähmt ist und im Rollstuhl sitzt. Seit dem hat er wahnsinnig viel Hilfe bekommen und das hat ihn mitunter wieder aufgerichtet. 2024 nahm er erfolgreich bei den Paralympics im Rollstuhl-Rugby teil.
