Morning — August 23 — Jeremiah 31:3

The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you with loving devotion. — Jeremiah 31:3God's love isn't a reaction to something lovable in you—it's the initiating cause of everything good. He chose you from the beginning for salvation, saved you by His own purpose and grace given in Christ before the ages began. Not because we loved Him, but because He loved us first.
