Morning — February 10 — Luke 11:34

Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are good, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are bad, your body is full of darkness. — Luke 11:34Spiritual sight comes only by God's sovereign action; no human effort can produce it. Because the unregenerate heart treats the Spirit's truths as foolishness, believers depend entirely on divine illumination to grasp the glory of God in Christ. The light God commands into the heart becomes a transforming power, so the Christian life increasingly mirrors the brightness that first pierced their darkness.
