Morning — February 15 — Proverbs 20:9

Who can say, “I have kept my heart pure; I am cleansed from my sin”? — Proverbs 20:9No one can claim a pure heart, because sin stains every human desire and effort. Even our best deeds fall short of God's holiness, leaving us captive to our iniquity. God confined all people under sin for a single purpose: so the promise could come only through faith in Jesus Christ. In Him, God reconciles the world to Himself and refuses to count our trespasses against us.
