Morning — February 16 — Song of Solomon 1:3

The fragrance of your perfume is pleasing; your name is like perfume poured out. No wonder the maidens adore you. — Song of Solomon 1:3The name of Jesus carries the full weight of who God is and what He has done for sinners. Because Christ gave Himself in love, His name holds a fragrance that comforts the weary and assures the forgiven. God's exaltation of that name means every believer possesses a refuge that cannot be shaken. All the hope a soul needs is bound up in this one name, poured out like perfume.
